The most important part: your family data stays with you

MyFamilyThree is built so that your family tree data (people, photos, notes, contacts) is stored exclusively in your browser on your device (IndexedDB). There is no user account, no server and no cloud sync. Your family data is never transmitted to us or to third parties. Backups are files you create yourself on your own device.

Hosting

This website is hosted as a static site by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you visit the site, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data (e.g. IP address, date and time of access) to deliver and protect the website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

Local storage (no tracking)

To operate the app, your browser stores data locally on your device: your family tree (IndexedDB) and your cookie choice (localStorage). This data never leaves your device and cannot be accessed by us. You can delete it anytime via your browser settings.

Google Analytics (only with consent)

Only if you consent via the cookie notice (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) do we use Google Analytics by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) to understand how our website is used. IP addresses are truncated. Google sets cookies and may transfer data to the USA. Your family tree data is not affected — it never leaves your device. You can withdraw your consent at any time (button below).

Google AdSense (only with consent)

Only with your consent do we show ads via Google AdSense (Google Ireland Limited). Google sets cookies, may serve personalized ads and may transfer data to the USA. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR), and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). Since we never hold your family tree data, these rights only concern the services listed above.
